Veteducation LIVE Online lecture Series Attracting International Interest!
On December 19th 2007, veteducation officially launched our first LIVE Online Lecture for veterinarians. Just after 8PM AEST over 25 veterinarians from across the states of Victoria, South Australia and southern New South Wales were treated to 2 hours of AVA accredited continuing education, featuring real-time audio, a real-time power point presentation, and real-time interaction with the speakers.
Since that first lecture, the Veteducation.com.au LIVE Online Lecture Series has attracted huge interest from veterinarians and veterinary nurses - not only from around Australia, but internationally as well, with vets and vet nurses from the US and UK logging in for our LIVE Online Lecture experience!
“The veteducation.com.au online lecture theatre allows us to deliver state-of-the-art lectures to over 200 people at once – with all participants experiencing real-time LIVE audio and visual aids to enhance the learning experience” says veteducation.com.au director and co-founder Dr Charisma Judge. “In addition, veteducation.com.au adds even more convenience and value to these lectures, by producing electronic copies of extensively prepared lecture notes and emailing these to lecture attendees prior to the lecture – as well as posting MP3 files of the lecture presentation on our website for repeated use by participants if they wish - bringing to lecture attendees a complete and up-to-date continuing education resource – wherever they live”.
We have an exciting program ahead for the Online Lecture Series. We are developing, not only a lecture series for general practitioners wanting a review of disease processes, but also an advanced program of lectures in various topics, suitable for those practitioners studying for Membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Surgeons - or for those practitioners wanting to really extend their knowledge! Hill's Pet Nutrition and Cenvet Australia become official veteducation.com.au supporters!
Veteducation.com.au is extremely happy to announce that in October 2007, Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Cenvet Australia became official veteducation.com.au supporters. Both organizations recognized that veteducation.com.au was at the forefront of veterinary education in our region – with pioneering programs such as our short courses for veterinary nurses, and our LIVE Online Lecture Series.
“We wanted the opportunity to provide continuing education to veterinary nurses at a price that put the vet nurses in control of their education again”, says Dr Philip Judge of veteducation.com.au. “In addition, we also wanted to take veterinary continuing education out of the major cities, and into the homes and workplaces of veterinarians wherever they live.
Hill’s Pet Nutrition and Cenvet have both been extremely supportive of our vision for veterinary education – to provide some of the best continuing education for the veterinary profession – throughout Australia and South East Asia. We are extremely grateful to Cenvet and Hill’s for their generous support of veteducation.com.au - without which much of what we have on offer would not be possible!”
